Canby Giant Pumpkin Festival - Seen

A crowd gathers around the remains of a car smashed to smithereens by a giant pumpkin that was dropped from a crane at the Canby Giant Pumpkin Festival. The weather was great and the festival attracted a huge crowd this year. In fact, there were so many people wanting to attend the festival that the roads leading to the festival entrance were packed.

The pumpkin drop was scheduled for 10 a.m. I left early that morning so I would be certain to make it to the festival grounds in time to watch the drop. Instead, I got to sit in traffic and watch the clock strike 10:00 a.m. Needless to say, I missed the drop, but I saw the remains of the car as soon as we arrived [pictured above]. Oh well, there's always next year.
